GI with nice Motorcycle

hello

got this nice postcard Photo today.

Now I would like to ask the excellent Researches here helping me out with maybe Id'ing the Unit,Motorcycle and the writing on the back
The Photo isn't in the best Condition anymore but does anyone know the going rate for Photos like this?

btw, what does "GI" stand for?

GI means general infantry

GI = Government Issue!! was most commonly known and used

Worth of this type of photo depends on who wants it bad enough. usually it would fetch between 50 cents to maybe a dollar. again it depends on who collects them. I have bought photo albums with photos like this but not for the motorcycles but for the knocked out German Armor that was in them.

as for the unit I think the QM would stand for quarter master..
