    Luftwaffe Experte-Ace Photo Request Please!

How come there is so little ONLINE information (almost non-existent) on the following experten, each of whom are credited with over 100 victories! I have found only 1 photo for each of the following.

    Lt. Gerhard Hoffmann (130)

    Lt. Berthold Korts (113)

Hptm. Werner Lucas (106) -NO TEXT!

    Lt. Ulrich Wernitz (101)

Little to no text or factual information for others AND NO PHOTOS (!) for Oblt. Rudolf Miethig (101)

I mean, there have only been 104 pilots that were credited with over 100 Victories. Why the paucity of data? I would appreciate any photos or data on these pilots.

    Thanks,

    Rob Romero

      Rob,

I strongly suggest you to buy the classic book "Die Ritterkreuztr******228;ger der Luftwaffe 1939-1945 - Band I - Jagdflieger" (Verlag Dieter Hoffman, 1989) by Ernst Obermaier, which has the most important information about the fighter aces of the Luftwaffe, who won the Knight's Cross (and its higher grades). Although in German language is not dificult to read it after you become familiar with the technical terms.

Below, I'm going to post belwo the biographies of the LW fighter aces you requested. please note, that they were all scanned from the above mentioned book.

      Hope it helps you.
