tranlation help please

Hello all, First off this is not my photo it is from a current auction on ebay. The neat thing is I have been trying to find the location of this place as I have it in two of my albums. Up till now I have had no luck.
I would greatly appreciate it if I could get a translation.

Hi Mike,

The place is Pleskau, which is in Russian "Pskow", a large city in the north-west. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pskow
First photo is "die Kathedrale" (the cathedral)
Second photo is taken "an der Pskora", which must be the river.

For now I can't make out the note on the bottom cause it's a small scan and I'm on a lousy computer.
