i ahd the chance to day to photograph a few items my greandfather brought home form World War Two. amoung the items is red book entitled
Facharbeitbrief. can anyone explain what this is? thanx in advance

It's sort of a diploma showing you've finished a course in (normally) a handworker's trade. I've got one in a grouping, for instance, that showed the owner was a learned lathe operator.

Looks like yours is for a betriebsbeschlosser, which is a locksmith of sorts.
