Hi Derek, your man was an Austrian...but I would not have thought that he'd still be permitted to wear that badge after the Anschluss??? Anyhow, ******214;sterreichisches Sport- und Turnabzeichen (******214;STA) ... it's the Austrian Sports Badge. Cheers, Torsten.
