SS Junkerschule Tolz Book

Gentlemen,
In digging through my piles of books, I came across 2 books that, as I recall, were bought at an estate sale years ago. Supposedly they both came from the SS Junkerschule Tolz. They are identical books, however ones in English, the other is in German. On the inside cover of the English copy is handprinted, in period ink, SS-Bew. Hans W.Tewes

My question is what does the abbreviation Bew. stand for?

Chris,
It stands for Bewerber, a probationary rank prior to being accepted as a full SS member. Strange to find it in a Junkerschule book I would have thought. Perhaps a lowly member of staff.

Hi Chris, Derek is correct in that Bew. stands for Bewerber ... but what really intreagues me would be what book would have been available at Toelz in both, its German and its English version? Would you tell us the title and the author please? Cheers, Torsten.
