1945 U.S. War Dept. Medical Officer ID Card

Hello forum members. Here is a Military ID card for a medical Officer. The officer looks like Clark Gable! His rank is Capt MC. As you can see the punched holes in the lower half form the word INACTIVE. Are World War two military ID cards common? Are they collectible ? Thanks in advance for any information. ......Harry C
