    Remy Schrijnen

Hi Phil, I too have a (post war) signed photo from this Flemish RKT. Try and get hold of the book about him which I have called "The last Knight of Flanders" by Allan Brandt. Published by Schiffer. ISBN no. 0-7643-05883.
    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks Ade, I'll try and get a copy of The last Knight of Flanders, Remy seems like a very kind person as he wrote me a full A4 reply to my letter, although I need to get it translated and he sent me 9 signed post-war photo's. I would love to meet the old soldier.

Thanks Neil I've sent you a email.

Have either of you ever wrote to Adolf Schmahl? he lives in Kent, Pm me and I could send you his address if you want.

        Cheers
        Phil

          RKT Biographies

Hi Phil, "Knights of the Iron Cross" (published by Blandford Press) and "Aces of the Reich" (published by Arms and Armour Press) both written by Gordon Williamson, contain 'pocket size ' biographies of several of the RKT you listed. Also included are several tables of awards per arm of service and significant aces etc. If you are looking for more 'in-depth' info please send a PM, I hope to of been of some help.
          Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.
