    Postcard Collecting

    Hello,
I have decided to expand my collecting area by moving into the field of postcards,as these seem to be fairly plentiful(but for how long?!).
Here is one I have had for a while which was among some of my Grandads photos from ww2.
If anyone could tell me if it is part of a set or just an odd one I would be extremely grateful.
    Kind regards,
    Andy

      Hi Andy,

This postcard is one of a series "The Wehrmacht" of pre-1939 time, but I don't have any info on how many cards were actually published in the series. I have one of a heavy machine-gun in firing position. There were also series of "The Army," "The Luftwaffe," and "The Navy." I had one out of the Luftwaffe series of a Fallschirmjaeger just landed, with parachute still open.

I collect postcards too, military and political.

      Regards,
      Greg
