is this Stalingrad

hay guys, i just picked up a few new pics and there was this one, i think its the out skirts of Stalingrad, was wondering if anyone could confirm or suggest a alternative location ?

Are those soldiers wearing splinter pattern winter camouflage uniforms? If so that would discount Stalingrad.

hello, does anyone recognise this building, it seems with the shoot on the left, that this is a refinery for maybe coal mill, also the coal rail trucks to the right would support this idea.
Also these soldier seem to be wearing green camo uniforms in a russian snow combat area. was this normal, i couldnt imagine this type of uniform being very good in the snow?
any ideas guys?

Actually all white as camouflage only really works with an all white background. When you have a mix of dark and white around you it can be better to go with the regular camouflage colour.

good point Simon im getting the actual slide of this in the post this week, if i could get a closer scan of their uniform, is it possible i could idendify the type of camo and so maybe put a date to this photo?
ps. are those boxes on the left, ammo or artilery boxes?

Rostov wasn't even occupied anymore at that time.

It can't be Stalingrad because all economy was located inside of the city.
