You can clearly see the Golden leadership Sport Badge. . .

According to Medals and Decorations of the Third Reich by Heinrich Doehle (Berlin 1943) it states that the Golden Leadership Sport Badge is worn on the Left Breast Pocket (Page 125). This is clearly on the right breast pocket?? Any speculation why? Any HJ experts looking at this??

This guy is a Gebirgsjäger not a HJ.


I'll have to dig out this magazine and see which HJ unit was training with the Gebirgsjägers. I'm sure that HJ units in the Alpine regions would have had this type of training.
