During his short life ( he was killed in action by shrapnel, northeast of Belgorod,on the 1st of June 1943), he spent nearly all of it in uniform in various organizations and branches of service.
    Here are the pics....

        Last one.

        And the last.
A shot with some comrades. I think he's the man with his arms folded in the photograph (the rank fits in with his portrait).

        Hope you enjoyed them,

        Patrick.

            Hi Patrick,

            Nice group of photos!!
Did he win any other awards?? Also I`m not sure if he is the guy with his arms folded, I`m just looking at the shape of his ears.
Your guy has ears which stick out and taper from being wide at the top going to thin at the lobe, very triangular whereas the guy with his arms folded has more "square" ears.
What do you think? Maybe he could be the one taking the pic?

            Best regards,
            Adrian.

              Good point!

              Hi Adrian,
actually, that was a possibility that i hadn't thought of
              You may well be right!
regarding any more awards, it was just the Russian front medal he was awarded before his death.

              Thanks for the comments,
              all the best,

              Patrick.
