What do you guys think of this? I've had a good look at it and have my own opinions but i'd be interested to hear what others think.
To start with there's the misspelling of the word 'Richtigkeit'.

Hi Simon,

As you say, "Richtigheit" says it all about the document itself !
The stamp that is used here , is a well known fake.

Fake doc, fake stamp, what more can we say.

WEll, spelling errors in printed docs aren't unknown, but the bluriness of the stamp, as well as the unique design of the doc itself doesn't bode well for it. I don't really like the typewriter font either.

Willy Seeger is also unknown. And the stamp looks very bad IMO

Actually Willy Seeger is a confirmed DKiG holder. In fact his rank, name, position and date of award are exactly as it's listed in Gericke's book on KM DKiG holders, which in itself is suspicious.

The style of the doc is like that seen on page 165 in vol.1 of Forman's book on award docs, including the signing officer and exact angle of the stamps. The style of the font used on the printed parts is different however.

When i got the thing in my hand the problems with it became glaring. It was stuck to a page from a photo album, with a photo on the back. I even have my suspicsions that this is fabricated because the fading present behind the photo is the same as behind the doc on the other side and i don't get how that fading could have occured on both sides.






On the back side of the doc was the fp number of the boat 30768, which is correct but i didn't like the fact that it was typed. The paper glows like a beacon under blacklight and when looking at the stamp and printed texted it becomes obvious it was done on an inkjet or bubblejet printer because of the small dot splatter.

The stamp, isn't. It's actually printed, my guess is that it was scanned from the example in forman's book because a few of the slight smudges on the outside edge of the ring in the stamp also appear on this doc, as well as it being at the same angle.

fake like you said this was well made by a modern day printer. Bought a VNV mebership card some months ago on ebay. The picture, the stamps, the handwritting, even the 'mail'stamps on it, all made by computer looked good on ebay, but when I held it in my hands I imedialty knew this was a fake

so is this document...
