    Kriegsmarine Photo Help

I recently purchased a small lot of KM photos thinking I saw a photo to add to my collection...Alas...I was wrong and the lot only contains Coastal Artillery Badges (mostly) a HSF, and a few other sundry badges.

    I have two questions.

First: I am away at school for a year, so I do not have any of my reference books with me. If anyone can help with the Feldpost, that would be great! The photos are undated, but all have a stamp on the back for Feldpost M09200. Anyone know what ship/command that represents?

Second question: In one of the photos there is a guy wearing a badge I cannot identify. He wears the badge on his right side under the breast eagle. Not many go there so I figure it may be easy to get to the bottom of the badge's ID.

    Thanks for any assistance!

Hi Joe, the FP number is for:

    (28.4.1940-14.9.1940) schwimmende Flak-Batterie "Arkona".

It looks like the award could be a Spanish Cross?

    Cheers, Ade.

      Ade:

Thanks for the assist on the Feldpost. That is a big help.

Initially I thought Spanish Cross too, but there seems to be a big square "something" on the top center of the badge. It kinda breaks the symmetry of the badge. That is what makes me think it isn't a Spanish Cross.

      Thanks for the input.

      Joe
