Help on a WSS Photo

Back in April I posted some photos, that with the help of mark v. and S Ballantyne we tentatively identified as from a part of the LAH that was in Istria (Italy) in the fall of 1943. In one of the photos was an officer who looked like Sly Stalone. I just bought this new picture, do you think that it is the same person? and could this have been taken in Istria as well?

To my eye, appears to be the same soldier, motorcyclist's coat - and cap!

Same group of photos

Hi there,

Sorry for late reply to your PM, I've been travelling for the last wee bit.

I think it is from the same group of photos, with another shot of a Skoda Superb 3000 Kfz 15, and the surroundings look familiar to other Istrien photos I have seen...

Any chance of a close-up on the front of the vehicle? Is the number plate readible in close-up? It would be a tactical sign on the left fender, so no chance of %100 LAH ID on that alone.

Hello Steve, thanks for taking a look. The best that I can make out is SS-5xx7xx . The plate in my photo was SS-50099x. Can you read either plate number in your photo? I can not get the photo to up-load. I will try later.

Same Officer?

I just bought this picture on the "E-Stand". I think that it is the same officerthat is in my previous posts. What do you think? Since I keep finding picures of this guy, could he be Albert Frey?
