Help needed on "Begleitzettel für Verwundete"

Could someone please write in normal (German) writing what injury this Zettel was for. I have a whole lot of photos and documents on this person, including two pictures of this Leutenant wearing an arm bracelet, but I have no document for a Verwundeten Abzeichen. According to the pictures he did not serve at any front line at the time, so I'm curius what he suffered from.

I believe between the brackets it says: (Durchschuss), but I'm not totaly sure.

Front is "splitter verletzung an ...."
and Knochenverletzung? Nein (bone damage? NO)
      Rear says "splitter entfernung"

So sliver or shard of something, or perhaps shrapnel wound.

      best

          Thanks Hank und Werner

I dived into the 600 photos and came out with those two. These were made in Feb. 1943 in Greece, according to the caption on the back. But reading the comments here, it makes me believe this is not the injury the tag was issued for .... It would make no sence for Granatsplitter to have hit him while he was in Greece in 1943 .... To my knowledge there were no battles fought at that time. Could be an air attack though ....

Could be partisan-action in Greece, Joegoslavia, or one of the Islands and flown in to a hospital in Greece.

You never can tell, I've read about soldiers wounded in Russia who ended up in hospitals in South-Italy.

Or maybe just bad-luck during field-excercise.

Partisanen .... didn't think of that

Could any one decypher the Verbandplatz ? This might hold a clue for the place he got the injury. Also any idea on the first name the Zettel is written out to. His last name is Gundt, first name should be Werner.

I have checked the envelopes dated post Sept. 1943 (not Feb. as I wrongly posted earlier), but I have not found any picture showing him with a Verwundeten Abzeichen.

              Bart

Greece was one of the main destinations for wounded Afrika Korps men. They were flown there to the hospitals from Libya and Egypt.

                  Hi MilCollector,

As you can see in the scans, Werner Gundt was a member of the Stab II. / GRJ 99. No part of the Regiment has ever been in Africa, should it be for a holiday, but I doubt that.

As the tag is not dated with a year, I'm trying to find out what period it would fit.
