SS photo - holiday pickup in Estonia.

Can anyone give me any info about the guy in this photo (rank,etc) which i managed to find in Estonia recently. I,m not too up on my SS, i just liked the photo.

Yes it is a nice photo and as for the other information I would not be able to assist you. I do have a concern about the authenticity of the photo. The crimping on the edge appears to be the same in some repo photos I have seen. Do you have a scan of the reverse?

Actually Mike, now that you say that, i ve just checked and the back is just plain white. No Agfa Lupex or any other marks. Also feels a bit thinner than others. Is that any help or would you still need a scan ?

David, having no "water mark" doesn't neccesarily mean a photo is a repo and a blacklight test can be "iffy" as well. of course having the photo in hand to get the feel and the "smell" of it means a lot. Of course this is just my observations and there are others that are more adept than me.
