    My Veritable stuff

Hi guys, i'm 17 years old and I now collect for 2 years everything of Op. Veritable (Battle of the Reichswald, Goch, Kleve etc). Here are some documents from my colledtion (offcourse this is not my whole collection, but these are most of my documents). Because Ludwig and some other people wanted to see some Reichswald/Veritable photo's, here they are.

    Some death notices.

Polizei Oberleutnant Messner. He died in Goch, on the 7th of february 1945 (the day the artillery offensive of the British and Canadian started before Veritable). Nearly 80% of Goch was destroyed during the destruction.

Oberfeldwebel Fallschirmjager Alois Gilch (actually this is Blockbuster, but it came right after Veritable, and it's the same area).

A Flak Wachtmeister (Hans Kulzer) killed in Kleve by accident (no, it isn't Veritable, but it's the same area).

These were my few death notices, now I will post my photo's.

Here's a press picture of a Scottish Regiment walking through the Reichswald. Look at those broken trees etc! Picture is dated February 1945.

British and Canadian troops are on their way to Kleve, they just have passed the Reichswald. Picture is dated 13th February 1945.

Men of 43rd Wessex searching for snipers in Kleve centre, I know the specific location, it's the Cleve Ring.

    Then and now

Here are some Dutch illigal papers from 9, 10, 11 february 1945 about Veritable (other side).

Reconnaissance photo of the RAF, picture was taken near Venlo, january 1945, for preparing Veritable. There are some 8,8 guns on the photo, and some halftracks. Also, in the background is the Ost-Venlo map, German, 1941.

Thanks! In the (near) future I will open a site just about Veritable! I also have around 10 maps of the Veritable area, if there's interest I can post them there also. But Veritable is indeed very interesting, not much people investigate this (important) part of the liberation of Germany.

I will scan some maps in the near future for you.
Here's is my latest bargain, a very nice FJ death notice, died in Goch, very near the Reichswald, during Op. Veritable on 18 februari 1945. It measures 15x21cm.
