and that it was taken in north russia ,I also think his name is muller!

Noticing the GAB and the dark colour of the waffenfarbe i'd hazard a guess that he was in the artillery regiment or pioneer abteilung of the division?

Speaking of the 5. Gebirgsjaeger Division and the book Jason Pipes is writing - do any of you know where Jason is? He has a number of my books including the book Gebirgsjaeger auf Kreta and he is not returning my calls or emails. Perhaps one of you could pass on the message that I am trying to contact him.
