Hello Mike.
Can you give this Konteradmiral's ( as I make out his rank) command designation which usually appears below the rank and also the date of the document? A comparison with the K.M. Ranklist of 1944 gives me no clue so far. But the Mehner reference volume of the German Armed Forces 1939-1945 Command Structure may help me figure out the name .

Good job , I would never have been able to come up with that. Certainly not by attempting to read the name.
I see that he left active service already in June 1943, probably age-related (DoB 24.Jul.1882- DoD already 6.Jan. 1947 ).
