Hi guys ,Im just starting to look at adding some wehrpas to my collection. My brother steve received some time back a wehrpas to a luftwaffe construction battalion soldier. This intrigued me,as the information contained in it certainly put personality to an item as opposed to a faceless piece of insignia, medal etc.
One question i do have is reference the early style wehrpas(reichsadler eagle, wings down by side) as opposed to the next style(wehrmachtadler eagle, wings spread out).
I came across a thread showing the R.A.D pages of an early style wehrpas. This had a large R.A.D watermark at the top of the page, and a reichsadler watermark at the bottom.
The majority of wehrpasses i have looked at in detail are the later wehrmachtadler style and they all seem to have have the wehrmachtadler outspread eagle watermark on every page including the R.A.D pages. They didnt have a seperate R.A.D watermark.
So my question is this,
Is it only the early style wehrpasses with the reichsadler eagle that have the R.A.D watermark?
regards keifer
