I know it but I cannot recall where it is It might be Kiev? There is a well know bit of newsreel film where the Russians recapture the building and the party insignia is seen crashing to the ground.

        Cheers, Ade.

Hey,I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure it is in Ukrainia. I have also seen this video. I'll go through some of my videos and try to get a screenshot if I find it!

Very nice by the way! Keep them coming.

Michael, are both of your pictures from albums?

A close-up of the poster. Can someone translate what this says or is for?

I can't help you, I think this is in Ukrainian or Belorusian. I only learned a little bit Russian at the University. I found a definition of the title "Derzhstrakh SRSR", but it was not in Russian.

                        CPCP ; see : http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/USSR

I also think the picture of the flag is a Kolkhoz Ukrainian or Belorusian flag that was captured!

I have seen your picture of Artem that you have shown eralier I guess. I was just curious to know if these were in albmums.

By the way, I think your picture is about Artem Mikoyan.
