Thanks Bernhard, I will see what I can do cleaning that one up on my scanner.

Here is the back of a portrait, I am no good at reading this handwriting, so even names are hard for me...

Thanks so much for the help, you guys have been wonderful!

It seems strange that the postcard imprints are in English??

Thanks for showing the front of pic 3. Confirms what I suggested earlier.
I still think the first word is probably the location and from the picture it appears to be somewhere in the Balkans or Greece. Otherwise why the funny hat?

                          Thanks!

                            Zur Erinnerung
                            an Euren Kammeraden!
                            In memory of your comrades

                            Rudi ?H?eber or ?L?eber

He misspells Kameraden - perhaps intentionally if they worked or lived together in a Kammer (office, room, chamber) such as the Kleiderkammer (Clothing Issue Office)

BTW The camp at Aliceville has an active museum organization.
                            .

Thanks for the help! It is soo appreciated you have no idea! I have just started taking german so yeah..no luck with me. It looks like an L to me, but I am not sure.

Here is a bigger one, it has lists of names, I would love to get names, I am going to get in touch with the Alicevillle museum people, so what I can dig up.

                              Once again, Thanks so much!
