Hi all:
I just received this ...interesting book from a friend and need help figuring out the significance of the stampings inside. The title of the book is 'Im Sonnigen Suden' (In the Sunny South), and is a German book on the country of Italy- nothing military, just history, scenic sites, etc. Inside the first few pages of the book, however are various stampings (see pics). One states 'Eigentum des Lagers 132' , another (with eagle stamp) 'Bucherei Lager 23'- also a Canadian Itelligence Ops censor stamp . Would this be a book from a German military library, brought over (captured) to Canada - or a book used by German POWs in Canada- what sort of 'Lager' would this be from???
Thanks for the help.
-Ernst.
