    Italian POW?

    Hello,
This photo is in my Arbeitsbuch fur Auslander. The man is Italian

His jacket looks to me like a military uniform without insignia. I even believe to see that collar tabs were removed. What do you think? What for a uniform could it have been?

Why is the man holding the sign like a prisioner? Is this normal?

    Thanks !
    Frank

    Hello..
After 8 september 1943 many italian soldiers are take prisoners and forced to go in Germany like foreign workers. In Rome, for example, a complete division (The "Piave" Division) was disarmed to the end of summer 1943.

      Hello,
So is the uniform indeed an italian military uniform?

      Greetings,
      Frank
