I would appreciate any suggestions as I have no record of feldpost numbers myself.

Just to clarify one small point...

09922 D was 7 Kompanie, Infanterie-Regiment 727.

As Walter pointed out...this FP Nr. was for II.Btl. so the following applies:

A - Stab II. Btl.
B - 5 Kp.
C - 6 Kp.
D - 7 Kp.
E - 8 Kp.

If for I. Btl.:

A - Stab I. Btl.
B - 1 Kp.
C - 2 Kp.
D - 3 Kp.
E - 4 Kp.

or III. Btl.

A - Stab III. Btl.
B - 9 Kp.
C - 10 Kp.
D - 11 Kp.
E - 12 Kp.

etc. if there was a IV. Btl....however 13 (IG), 14 (Pzjäg), 15-16 Kpn. were normally independant of a Btl. but normally came under III. or Rgts. Stab for command reasons.

Feld Post Numbers

I am really grateful for your help with this feldpost number enquiry.Is there any further sources that I might search to find out about these units and where they were at the relevant dates?
Also, if I may venture a little further help.I believe, from what I have managed to find out, that the following are from a soldier serving with SS Deutschland,14 Komp.
21867 B 13/4/1944
28688 A 14/11/1941
2072 N 14/11/1942

Also one further from another letter
BAB 13/1 I am not sure that this soldier was German but the letter was definately feldpost complete with eagle stampings.
Again any help will be much appreciated.

What further research do you require? You can check where the units were on those particular dates.....
You are talking about letter writers? If yes then that could be difficult.....
