Der Adler - "The Eagle", official magazine of the Luftwaffe. Monthly, I think. I don't collect 'em, so don't know much about them.

That's a very nice cover - it says "Towards a Victorious New Year"
What year is that? I am going to guess 1942 as the last possible year for that cover!

I would suggest making a nice color print of the cover for hanging and preserve the magazine itself in a plastic cover.

The other item looks like is is just the annual index for Volume 1941 of the magazine. Jahrgang means annual set.
Germans also use Jahrgang in the same way Americans use Class. A German born in 1958 is a member of Jahrgang 1958, whereas an American born in 1958 will more likely refer to his high school class year, as in Class of 1976.

PS If you do a scan of the cover, I'd be happy to pay for a copy. It would make a good graphic for a Luftwaffe book idea I have.

Der Adler was a biweekly magazine with 26 issues/year.
              Staring in 1939 and ended with nr.19 - 1944.

Looking for "Probeheft" and Nr.1,2,5,7,17 of 1939 to complete my collection.
Anyone that have one of these for sale/trade please contact me.

              /Thomas
