I should be ashamed for not recognizing Meyer !
At least I saw it was Sepp.

There were some more RK pics in the lot as well, would really appreciate if anyone could identify those as well !

    Hello Dave,

Here comes a surprise for you... I have exactly the same Photo Lot from exactly the same girl!!! 40-50 Photos from the WSS with some Feldpost Letters!!
I was also buying the Story and it was the first Time, where I just believed the Story and didn't ask for better Scans I was quite disapointed when I got the package and saw, every single Photo was a Repro..some do look for me,like they were copied from Books. And I was even more disapointed, when I noticed that the Feldpost Letters were not WSS and from various People. This was my first "mis-buy" . It sounded just so good. The Girl only sold her old T-Shirts in the past and the Awards she showed me,did match up with the Photos pretty well. I'm quite surprised that she had the same Lot twice..and she then has probably another Lot of these Photos laying around.

If those Photos were real private taken Photos pre1945..then it would be for sure a little treasure...lots of LAH and Totenkopf Photos incl. nice Panzer and Helmet Shots..but unfortunatly... all bad...and now that I know, that you have exactly the same lot..its even more disapointing.

    Regards
    Andreas

Yes, this same "girl" (an unashamed fraudster!) has been making repro fotos for many years now. She keeps selling them with the most crazy excuses. I also fell for it the first time ("auf eine Flohmarkt gefunden"), when I received the photos I knew I had been tricked.

She is the also the one who has been spreading countless copies of the Guhl et al RK-ceremony, John posted a photo of that serie yesterday on the forum. Looks like this little fraudster has been swarming the market with her trash

          Doh !

Is it just me that thinks we got tricked by her just because it was a woman? I bet we would have been more cautious if the seller would have been a male.

Ah well, no big deal, learn from the mistakes and move along. You win some you lose some.
At least they are nice reference pics.

Thanks for all the info about the trägers ! Amazing that you guys remember all these faces.

          Cheers,
          David

            Dave:

I'll send you an email tonight in what to look for on these fakes. One look though & you should NEVER trust a photo with the blurry milky appearence. These are photographs taken from a photograph (not very well I might add) when no negative is available. Rudi Szabo bought the remains of a wartime photo studio in the late 80s and in this lot were about 100 glass negatives of SS men wearing the most insane insignia you could imagine. The well known (now) Croatian SS runes officer pic, Double TK tab with gloves pic,etc etc. He sold these as repros but I see them on ebay all the time..many times colorized.....man what a hobby! lol
