    Hitler's Artwork Authenticity

I have just been offered a set of Hitler's watercolours prints for sale that are supposed to be authentic, but would like to know what indentifying marks to look for if its a fake.

The seller is asking $275.00 Canadian for 12 prints in an original folder???

    Thanks Indra

Okay, I don't know jack about art, as a matter of fact I like the "dogs playing poker on velvet", okay? But I'd run away from that deal as fast as I could! ANYTHING touched by uncle Adolph is going to sell for more that $275.00. And we're talking about 12 "original" watercolors here.

I would agree. The lowest auction price I have seen in the past two years for an original Hitler watercolour was about $10,000 (U.S.); the highest price was about $35,000 (U.S.). Also, they do not come in "sets of 12".

        Hitler's Watercolours

Sorry guys I did not word this properly, what I meant to say was the price is for 7 watercolour prints, and is labelled "Heinrich Hoffman Reichsbildberichterftatter der NSDAP".

It is 7 prints of his watercolours done from 1914 - 1917 enclosed in a brown folder.

Sorry about the confusion, still would appreciate any feedback.

        Thanks
