On picture 15 you can see Heinz Harmel and SS-Oberscharführer Sven-Erik Ohlsson. Ohlsson was the only Swede to be awarded the German Cross in gold.

These great fotos bring me to another point. I am sure that there are many archives that are not even utilized. So many amazing fotos and no one knows where they are until someone 'stummbles' across them.

A case in point, I am writing the history of the 357. Inf. Div. This division surendered to the Americans in Czech. Some where handed back to the Soviet, but some battalion sized groups stayed in American captiviity.

For those of you who know, where there US Signal Corps (Propagandatruppen) with every American division? If so, are their fotos somewhere compiled?

Any assistance would be great!

Very nice! Especially the photo of Ohlsson, you wouldent happen to have more photos of him?
