    Hello All,

@ Erich, do you know the date the first photo was taken? Also can you post an enlargement of his head please?
@ Glenn2438, do you know the date the picture of Hubert Schaller you posted was taken?

    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Adrian.

      Adrian,

Schaller-Kalide commanded IR. 18 from 1 May 1931 - 1 Oct 1933. The portrait appears in the history of IR. 18 published in 1932. He was promoted Oberst on 1 Nov 1930 and to Generalamajor on 1 Apr 1933. Therefore probably 1931/32.

      Regards
      Glenn

        Hi,

It is all clear even without this, but anyway I worked a little with the portraits, I think there is no doubt it is one and the same man /see nose, nostrils, ears, shape of the face.../

Theodor is spot on, the two men are the same.
A few years have passed between the pictures being taken but the ears are identical, the shape of the nose, mouth and the corners of the eyes all match as well as the shape of the face with the high cheek bones.

          Best regards,
          Adrian.

<p> any help would be appericated, this photo are one of four photos showing this officer in a funural 1943 in Serbien-Rumanien, the four photos are a parts of a complete fotoalbum.
