A member of the Osttürkischer Waffen-Verband der SS, which comprised Muslims from the Turkestan region, kneeling before prayer in October 1944. The man wears the EK II and the Ostvolk decoration 2nd class in bronze with swords (above).

These railwaymen, who lost their legs in Allied bombing raids on Germany, were so decorated in 1943.
