With respect, hand written script is very hard to read. Obviously no one here could help, hence no answer.

Rather than complaining about a lack of replies, perhaps it would have been nice for you to share what you have since found out elsewhere. This forum is about helping one another and sharing our findings. If we could see the translation, this might help others to recognise certain words etc.

          Cheers, Ade.

A larger scan would have helped as well. I can read a little sutterlin but only if I can have a detailed look at it.

I'll copy my answer of the other forum here, translated into english.
              For the interested people here.

In any case it is written in S******252;tterlin, a type of German writing.
              More info about S******252;tterlin

It is a piece of text by Goethe:

              Feiger Gedanken
              b******228;ngliches Schwanken,
              wendet kein Elend,
              Macht sich nicht frei!

              Allen Gewalten
              zum trotz sich erhalten,
              nimmer sich beugen,
              kr******228;ftig sich zeigen,
rufet die Arme der G******246;tter herbei!
              (Goethe)

Zur ... und zum gedenken an Frau ... ( ... I can't read all of it)

Signed: (I'm not sure but it looks like)
              Lothar Schirach

The piece quoted of Goethe isn't the complete quote by the way, he has left a bit out, the complete text of it is:
              "Feiger Gedanken
              b******228;ngliches Schwanken,
              weibisches Zanken,
              ******228;ngstliches Klagen wendet kein Elend,
              macht Dich nicht frei.
Allen Gewalten zum Trotz sich erhalten,
              nimmer sich beugen,
              kr******228;ftig sich zeigen,
rufet die Arme der G******246;tter herbei."

I will puzzle on the names a little more tonight and on the words in that last sentence. So, more tonight! :-)

              EDIT:
Zur Beherzigung und zum Andenken an ihren ....alschaftsf******252;hrer
              (somekind of militairy rank)
The signature says Erhard (first name), last name looks like Schirach but I'm not sure.
He wants the receiver of the card read the Goethe piece carefully and remember him (Erhard) by it.
