I'll add somemore pictures i collected witch are all from the 225. inf. div. in Belgium.
Here are 3 pictures belonging to a funeral of a member of Stabskompanie Infanterie regiment 333.
His last name was Bruhn and died on the 17th of September 1940.
It funeral must have taken place in an Belgium town, because the division was 2 a 3 weeks later moved to France.
    Does anybody reconize this town???

i asume this must be near the border crossing of Putte (Holland) with Belgium because it is mentioned on page 7 of this thread.
Correct me if i'm wrong, maybe i misunderstood.
See the message of Peter U on page 7.
And also compare your picture at the border pole on page 8 ( esp. the houses in the back ) and your pictures taken at the crater with the view down the street (page 8), those are the same buildings.
On the picturse with the border pole you can see the rubble of the crater in the back.
          Hi,

I completely forgot about Peter U's naming of the location of the crater.
Yes, now I see the crater in the background of my border crossing photo.
Thanks for pointing this out to me.

          Cheers,
          Larry

Thanks for the additions. Can't help you with the town, indeed it must be Belgium, but here's the Volksbund information for Gefreiter Bruhn.

This picture is taken while the 225. inf. div. stopt at an WWI cemetary.
In the front row are new graves of casualities of the latest fighting.
Location of the cemetary is unknown to me.
There is some writing on the back but i can't read it all.

There is also an picture where members of the 225. visit former trenches on a WWI battlefield.

Not all pictures are of good quality.

And some others pictures, but i guess these are taken later while they where in France, couse it is winter.
                    So i think late 1940.
Maybe at a part of the Maginot line????

The writing on the back says "St. Pol", I am assuming this is in France.

I tried to find information of the location but came up with nothing.
