Here's one that just came in...What type of headgear is this young Flieger wearing?

It looks like one of those generic, non-LW approved flight helmets with no radio equipment installed, and a button down ear-flap. Many nations had them, so it may not even be German.

Hello, all excellent photos. I like this one especially as it shows the officer in the center wearing a US Army Air Corp A2 jacket. Captured and German breast eagle/officer shoulder boards applied. There are no known examples of a conversion piece in any collection. Regards BIll Bourque
