I no longer live next to him. I wish I had them. If I remember correctly there were about 20 to 30. At least 10 of them were scenes of dead Japanese. They were very graphic and showed burnt, decaying, and mutilated bodies. Not mutilated by torture but by weaponry. There were a couple that reminded me of common photos depicting the Banzai charges on Guadalcanal, with Japanese half buried in the sand as if the tide had washed over them.
There were also photos of the hulks of ships beached and obviously beyond repair and one of a KO'ed Japanese tank. Could you imagine what that would fetch on Ebay? Not what I would consider, though.
I have no particular desire to have these photos other than the rarity of owning them. I have no dead soldiers photos and don't particularly care for them (no offense to those of you that do). But these are some rare photos.
In any event I did see the man about 2 months ago. I will try to contact him and see if he would part with them.
