    Photo Location Identification

This period photo is posted in another thread relating to vehicles, so I am posting it again here to see if anyone can recognize and tell me where it was taken, please.

I like the view of the building structure and the corridors of NSDAP flags on either side of the square. I believe the photo to be one simply taken by a visitor or tourist (in Berlin, perhaps?) at the time. There is Latin script that may help to identify the city where it is located across the top of the structure which says:

"FRIDERICUS GUILELMUS III STUDIO ANTIQUITATIS OMNIGENAE ET ARTIUM LIBERALIUM MUSEUM CONSTITUIT MDCCCXXVIII"

    (See translation provided below)

    Thanks and regards,

Latin - "Friedrich Wilhelm III dedicated this museum to the study of all antiquity and liberal arts in 1828." It is Berlin. The Altes Museum in the Lustgarten.

Bravo, Rexmundi! Still looks impressive, even without the columns of party flags! John
