I bought this group at a very good price with the cased medal. I found very interesting the fact that even the managers saw fit to "brown nose" somewhat the recipient. As always, please fire away with any comments you guys might have.

Actually, it appears it was fairly common for congratulatory messages/letters to accompany an award of one of the civil long service medals. Over the years I've seen quite a few such groupings. The nicest one was a very ornate congratulatory document to a 25-year medal recipient from his co-workers at the Reich Printing Office.Comment
