He is wearing the medal bar at a very low place!
Do you know who this man is, when he was enlisted etc.? -
He probably doesn't have the medals on a bar and just simply tucked them in his pocket....that is why they are low down!?!?!?!?!?

There is something strange about this picture. The man looks too old for war service. So you expect he joined the armed forces later in the war. But the tunic is M36 I guess.Comment

It is not necessarily later in the war. Older troops were called up for Poland and France - then deactivated. Then of course the Volkssturm was formed in Oct. 1944 and issued any sort of equipment that was still around - so it can go either way.
I am just looking to add any sort of unusual photo item to my collection and since this gentleman is wearing a ribbon bar with device AND the medal bar. Nice, unusual combination....
