          A nice, and different, thread. I put some of Waffen-SS KC holders I took in vol. 2 of "German Cross in Gold Holders of the SS and Police." Not a member so can't post, they include Macher, Krag, Schulze, and others.

                        Nugiseks in 1944. Funny story about the hat he is wearing. I asked him about it, and he said he and everyone in his group had them. He said a German officer tried to give him a hard time about it and asked something like "What is that your wearing" and according to Nugiseks he replied "its a hat and its warm..."

                            FANTASTIC STURMPNR, some of the best pics yet!! Nice before and afters too. Just two questions:

                            1) How in the world did this estonian escape being sent back to the Soviet bloc after the war like most of the foreign volunteers did

                            2) You don't often see a press conference with German Vets, what was that about
