Is it me or is Dr. Alfred Regeniter wearing a WW2 General assault badge ?

I think he is, as he only found out he was awarded the RK in the 1960s and he was presented with a 57 RK. I actually have a photo of all his awards somewhere but it is not scanned on my computer.

Just in case you missed it in my ther post the 4th photo down (with the EKII/EF medal bar) is Ludwig Bauer of I./PzRgt 33.

Here are three RK veteran's we met at a convention in Omaha, NE on 22 July, 1994. The first pic shows Major Hansgeorg Bätcher.

This is Oberst Hajo Hermann. He did not wear his RK at this event. The Russians never gave it back to him in 1955 when he was released.

one question, to the former Austrian members of the wehrmacht that continue after de war in Austrian army were allowed to worn any German award in the 1957 version ???

I have seen trifold ribbon 1957 iron crosses but i,ve never seen a photo of these in wear .
