                Phil's Pictures...

Coincidence that I got a PM from Grant Broadhurst stating :

Mind you i know a freind on the forum who went to Normandy last year and saw a German Para vet who still wore his WW2 RK the right way round !! Uhlig i think ?

Voila! Phil's first picture is indeed of Alexander Uhlig in the 1960s doing just that!

Uhlig again in Crete for the 60th anniversary

Humberto, can you see if that first trager is a oak leaves or OL & swords holder?

From a quick search with "Die ordenstrager" & "Das-Ritterkreuz.de" I'd say the first one is
Heinrich Hoffmann who was in the Bundeswehr from 13.03.1956 to 30.09.1968 as "Kapitän zur See"

It was relatively easy as it appears Hoffman was the only Eichenlaub RK
Bundeswehr recipient of the Dkig during the war.

                            His details are here:

second guy... Heinz Haag? not sure about that...
