    RK-Traeger Kimmich??

    Friends,

I received a lot of photosand papers belonging to a Leutnant Stunz.
Among them is a paper showing him in action at the Weleni-hights.
probably during december 1942 and januari 1943. It also shows deathnotice of general Fritz-Hubert Graeser.
    Who can tell me :

    1. More about the fighting around the Weleni-hights
    2. More about Batl-Adjudanten Stunz
    3. if the pic with the KC-holder is indeed Major Kimmich

    Regards

    Peter

                Hi,

It certainly looks like Mj Friedrich Kimmich, Fhr, II/GrRgt 554/330 Inf Div which Rothkirch u Trach commanded in 1942/43.

Interestingly when I looked up Scherzer, I realized this photo that often was suspected as Mummert was actually Kimmich. Definitely same signature as the pic that appeared in Scherzer CD.

                Cheers
                Elwyn
