A few more nice photos! More will follow shortly.

Here is Oberst Wilhelm Burgdorf, commander of IR 529 and winner of the RK 9-29-41. This scene is from his farewell visit to the regiment.

Later met with Rommel to "advise" on his options following the Bomb Plot against Hitler and finally committed suicide in the bunker to avoid capture by the Soviets. A very nice and clear photo from another member here! Thank you!

Not sure about this. It does not glow under the black light and looks nice, but I am still unsure.

Nice image in any event. Any comments on this?

That is all for tonight. I hope this thread is not getting a too tedious...

This one looks like a PAB in bronze and EKII. Reverse says "man of my sister. Gefallen."

Another studio portrait. EKII and shooting lanyard. I assume he did not know if he wanted to breath or smile.

Take a look at his shoulder board lettering.

                            Mark,

You have a winner in #243. PzAbwAbt 30, part of 30 Inf Div...on the top right was Joesef Rettemeier, later RKT and ELT #425. I need to do more work on Schulze as it is such a common name.

                            Cheers
                            Elwyn

I did not even think to check the names. I did a blacklight and no glow on the photo. Were these commonly reproduced and sold to the soldiers? I have not seen too many of these here.

Here is a closeup of the Hauptmann Schulze and Lt Rettemeier - who was awarded the RK as part of Panzer Abt 5.

Elwynn thanks again! I have a few more generals visiting soon that I will need help with!
