Now the next two are some very nice automobile pictures! Larry and R Michael - have a look! I don't usually buy these photos but wanted to try some new items. These would look great colorized I am sure!

First is a Luftwaffe staff car with driver. License plate is clear - WL 38995.

Any help with the unit identification would be appreciated!

Next vehicle is a Heer command vehicle with pennant. The plate is very clear here as well - WH 752065. Excellent detail and photo has some "depth" to it!

Any help with the unit identification?

Last is the reverse of the Heer command vehicle. Nice stamp and some inscription. Any help with translation and unit identification?

Hi Mark

Top car photo is a Mercedes-Benz 230 with Luft. plates and bottom car is a Opel super six with Heer plates and Heer officer's pennant.

R. I have been bitten by a bunch of bugs! The helmet, EK II, Dagger and photo bug have all gotten me!

Now you suggest a "specialist" bug?

The back of the photo has "Minensuchkompanie" stamped on it.
A literal translation is "mine search company." I may be wrong but this must have been a specialist kompanie searching for and removing or defusing mines left by the enemy. A Google search didn't turn up much information about them.
I'm sure someone will help you out with some info about them.

Another photo that I am posting by itself. It is a nice little personal victory. I only shows a roadsign with a Divisional nickname. As some here may know, I am continually searching for items from the 71st Infantry Regt. 29th Motorized Division - Also known as "Die Falke"

The sign shows the Division name and the seller stated it is from the Stalingrad area - which is entirely possible.

In any event, Guderian had the 29th Division under him from opening of Barbarossa through the battles at Smolensk. He claimed it was one of the premier divisions in the German army. Unfortunately, there is little history about this division. It is a particular task I set for myself to find more!

Hi Mark,

Finally figured who the RKT general and RKT officer were in pic #54 and #55. The general was Karl von Graffen, Kmdr of 58 Inf Div. The RKT was Alexander von Pfuhlstein, kmdr InfRgt 154/58 Div.

Harmel made the optimistic assumption that #56 was of the same group of people. Unfortunately von Graffen earned his DKiG before he won his RKT. There was no DKiG and if you notice, both von Graffen and von Pfuhlstein wore their spange to the EKI on the left breast pocket and the EKI itself underneath the pocket. The saluting general seemed to have his EKI on his breast pocket also.
