Hi,
Any thoughts on this doc. Not sure about it. To Ferdinand von Deutsch. If it was in May 45, is that the reason the simple Keitel stamp was put on it, instead of acutal Genlt. Maisel signed it? or it that common on repros? help please.

It is very diffcilut to give a definitve opinion from this can. Close ups would be very grateful to give a better response. Anyway, several points on this VB are rather strange :
1- the name : this is Ferdinand Deutsch and not von Deutsch
2- the unit and the function : on Heer VB, it is mentioned while it is not on this one (e.g. Kommandeur II./Gren.Rgt. 45)
3- the Stamp : as far as I can se, I don't like it at all : the eagle shape is odd and the title lacks some specific points
4- the signature : Should GFM Keitel sign this doc, they would have change the title and add the GFM rank. They would have NEVER left the Gen.Lt. caption (whatever the stage of the war)
All these elements urge me to think this might be a fake.
BTW, have you ever noticed that many VB fakes depict diploma made just before (or sometimes after) the end of the war in Europe. I suppose that it is easier for faker to have their "little" variations/blah-blah accepted !!

Keitel

It was not GFM Wilhelm Keitel (killed in Nürnberg after the war) that signed the documents. It was Bodewin Keitel.

I thjink there was a misunderstanding. Let me clarify.
I know that was Bodewin K. who signed KC documents but he signed from von Brauchitsch's dismissal (from 19/12/41) until 30/09/42 as Chef of the H.P.A (Army Personal Office) and NEVER AFTER THAT DATE.
However, Wilhelm K. signed some documents such as the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold document (but never RK VB) and that's why I had told that this was the signature of Wilhelm.
To better illustrate, here is a comparison between Bodewin's signature and Wilhelm's one : you will clearly see that the signature displayed by Adem's document is linked to Wilhelm.

PS : as I try to wrote an article for this website, specifically dealing with KC Prelimniary Documents, I would be glad if any of you could provide me some scans of such doc.

I agree to 100%. And the document should have been written with the so called Führerschreibmaschine, with extra large types.

the document is a fake. only a few days before the war was ending a signed a knights cross document? no possible!
