Some pictures, A lot of questions!

I have these photos and some questions about them...but starting different treads would be stupid so here they go...

    1. What kind of cannon is lying here in the ditch?

    2. Who is the LW general?

    3. Is the glider badge standard? It looks weird because the openings in the top and bottom?

    4. What is the ''Heeres Betr. Komp.7? What do they do?

    5. What is this LW soldier wearing on his back?

    6. Who is this Heer general on the horse?

    7. What is this unit symbol? It looks like a car and a stripe underneath it!

    THNX in advance,

    Sebas

Well #1 is a flak cannon. It looks like 37mm to me but may be 20mm.

There is the end of my vast knowledge!

oh,forgot.. the glider badge just looks like it has two openings. on some makers products, the dark area is a band that is finished darker in contrast to the wreath

Could that flak gun be a 40mm Bofors? Nice snaps, thanks for sharing.

Dont think so, its an early war private photo. But on the other side it could be a captured English gun, But the lorry which lies on his side now and was towing the gun is a German Henschel?

In photo #1 (the overturned Flak gun) it appears that the soldiers in the background have those elastic bands on their helmets that were worn durring training exercises. Could it be that these guys are just looking over an accident scene from a training exercise?

Dont think so they are pulling the truck up with the old truck on the right. I dont know if they are those coloured bands?

Some more comments on the other pics, like the LW guys etc?
