Dutch / Flemish has no accents. So unless the “accents” are points on the I’s it is not Dutch. Is it a picture? If yes, the picture could help define the language….

      Jos:

My Hungarian friend just got back to me after I sent him your photo and having read the whole thing says it is not Hungarian. He thinks it may be Croat but his Croat contact is out of town till next week.
He too asked if you would post the photo itself as that may give some clues.
I have also asked the question on a couple of other boards but gotten no answer so far.
      Cheers
      Bill

        Thanks sofar,ladies and gentlemen..

        I see it's not easy..
        I'm still curious though..

Here's the picture, but I'm afraid it shows no clues..
For me it's a interesting picture..with some color and it shows how young some of the "soldiers" were..
        Frozen Flesh medal ribbon..
        Ridiculous but unfortunately true..

          Hi Bill!
In hungarian dates are written in the form of yy-mm-dd. Croatian is 'horv******225;t', not horvita in hungarian.
          Jos!
The text is Estonian by the way Something like 'Kui unustad originaalt, sul(?) h******225;rvita ka koopa Orapoil(?)' Try the words separately in google...
          Best regards
          Tam******225;s
