    Dönitz signature on photo.

    Hi all.

Today i talked to an old man showing me this photo. He tells me it was signed by Herr Dönitz himself in 1972 at an personel visit.I do not know if it is a genuin signature. It looks like the signature is doubble but that could be that he signed several phtos att same time.I belive it was 4.If this was as claimed the last one that would explain the inprint of an ballpen. The man tells me Herr dönitz got angry since the pen dident work. There is supossed to be an article in the local newspapers about these 4 gentlemen`s vist in Germany, will try to find moore info regarding this on Monday. Now it would be intrestning to hear your coments about this photo and its signature.

It's hard to tell, it's not so rare that a man is "fighting" with his biro to produce an autograph.

It looks ok, but couldn't say 100%. I think it is consistent with a dying pen. Added to that, Dönitz's late signature was also naturally somewhat shaky, so I would lean towards good.
