Hi Todd, both the POW's are British. The soldier on the right wears the "Tropal" winter coat lined with Kapok. It is a very heavy item. In fact my local surplus shop has one for sale. The pic would have been taken in Norway 1940.

You can really see the contempt in the SS soldiers eyes for the poor Asiatic POW. Quite a striking image.
